In order to feel a connection, recognition, and happiness, I became the best at everything. Of course, those feelings were temporary. There was always a nagging inside of me to keep going, doing, and gaining the next win, another gold star, in order to be seen and approved of.

I had to have a near-death experience, before truly stepping into my Genius-ship. Realizing that I was more than winning woke me up to my calling.

One moment I was winning a cycling race and then the next I was fighting for my life and the doctors told my family that I wasn’t going to make it. That lead to me discovering and living my genius.

I continue to step into this purpose more each day because I keep learning and growing. You do not have to wait to have your near-death experience to have your wake-up call.
