Winning Is Choosing Again and Again …

CEOs, founders, and overachievers,

This is a friendly reminder to your heart, soul, body, and mind.

Pause.

Take three long inhales. Three even longer exhales.

Notice your body. Notice what it’s feeling. Notice any tightness. Notice the emotions that are present. Will you accept yourself as you are right here and right now?

Remember that the mind wants to tell you that you have to get something in order to be safe. You have to do something. You have to say something. You have to have money. Clients. Blah, blah, blah. Go get “it” in order to be safe, have enough, etc. That is not true. You are already safe inside yourself right now - if you choose.

If you are safe in this present moment-I want you to take another few deep breaths, and listen to what your heart is saying. What brings you joy in this moment? How can you build joyful connection to yourself today? With your team? With those you serve and those you’ll meet today?

Business is always built on relationships. When people sense that you want something from them, they put up a wall immediately. They can sense your fear, and that you are in threat - then they go to threat too.

If you want to have more clients, you must be the best client to yourself first and foremost. Then to each other (your team).

More fun brings more creative energy and opportunity. The only way you can have more fun is to give yourself love and acceptance. To calm yourself. To treat yourself well with what you’re believing.

If you don’t feel peace right now, you must take action to choose the thought you want to focus on today. You might not believe this thought just yet. Your job is to say it out loud. Over and over again. This is rewiring your mind to a new expansive thought (neuroplasticity.) When you become the one who practices choosing what you want to believe, you become empowered and able to do anything. Practice the opposite of your negative, protective thought. Practice breathing deeply - not your habit breathing but your conscious breathing. Stay with your breath when in threat. Breathing fully rewires your blood chemistry and rids cortisol.

And finally, once you sense your emotions have past, by allowing them to be fully felt, ask how the opposite of your stressful thought could be just as true or even truer than the thought that was causing you distress.

When you are attached to outcomes, and what is outside of yourself in order to have enough, to feel secure, you will always be running in fear. It is your responsibility to give yourself what you need. Head. Heart. Body.

Smile. Even if you don’t feel like it, smile. This tells your body to release cortisol, and bring in serotonin. The body is very powerful. Use it to your advantage.

You are the creator of your life and how you want to show up! Wake up to your moments and be the chooser versus the reactor. There is nothing wrong with you. We are all designed to react and be a protector. And you are more than this when you choose to be.

Who will you choose to become this moment and the next?

Most people don’t use this option in life- to get out of drama. If you want to build your business, you have to be different than everyone else. This means the internal work.

Clients and potential clients will notice that there’s something different about you and your team. They will want what you have and not even realize it. Do your practice. Do your work. Always first.

Do your work. If you are in discomfort, do your work. If you are stressed, do your work. If you don’t have the results you want, do your work. The work of the inside. You are always the answer to the results you want, and it has nothing to do with doing. But being.

How do you want to be remembered by today?

Start again, and again. Choose you. Choose who you want to become every moment. And when you forget, start again. We always have the option to choose again.
